Painting Live for the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre - My Most Unexpected Booking!

This summer, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to paint live for the Toronto Blue Jays during their City Connect Fridays at the iconic Rogers Centre — and I have to say, it’s been one of the most exhilarating live art experiences of my career so far.
From the moment I set up my easel in the fan zone, surrounded by waves of navy, red, and electric blue, I could feel the energy pulsing through the stadium. Every corner of Rogers Centre buzzes on City Connect nights — the Night Mode uniforms, skyline-inspired merch, themed giveaways, and an electric sense of pride in this city we call home.
Live Painting in the Heart of the Action
As a live artist, I thrive off the atmosphere of big moments — and City Connect Fridays are full of them. For each game, I create a 60-inch-wide canvas painting live on site using neon and glow-in-the-dark paints, capturing the Toronto skyline, the CN Tower, and Rogers Centre under the Blue Jays logo.
Painting in real time as the stadium lights glow and fans pour in is like nothing else — I’m painting Toronto’s energy in full colour, under the very same roof I’m depicting in the artwork. As the sky darkens and the dome lights up, the glow-in-the-dark details begin to shine, and the entire piece transforms into a luminous tribute to the city and team.
